Tacx is an innovative Dutch manufacturer of bicycle trainers and accessories, known for its high quality products, powerful design and great functionality. In cycling, the Tacx brand is a household name. Many professional cyclists of the highest level use Tacx trainers, equipment and associated software.

Tacx Training Software

The latest Tacx software is a real leap forward in cycling software. This new top product combines all of the previous training software into one application and offers new functionality. With Tacx Trainer Software (TTS) you can create trainings, analyse your performances and use several visualisations which make training very pleasant.

With a Tacx trainer connected to your PC, you can cycle pre-recorded video rides, while tracking your position in an embedded Google Earth. You can also watch a 3D representation of your rider, an altitude profile, and lots of statistics. Users can create their own rides or import their GPS rides into the software and virtually train anywhere on the world. User profiles are linked to the TacxVR site and rides can be shared with others.

In a later version of the software, Fortius VR (full 3D environment) and its multiplayer functionality will also be incorporated into the Tacx Training software.

Fortius VR

For Tacx, AIM developed the i-Magic Fortius, which allows you to cycle in virtual worlds and train at the same time. Fortius is connected to a PC and controlled through the interface and steering wheel. You can ride races, train hard and focussed, or just take a spin.

You select a cyclist and team. Whether it's a cyclist, ATB'er, man or woman, the virtual cyclers move naturally. They jump, cheer, switch gears, drink, and even fall spectacularly.

The gaming aspect is accentuated by a multitude of possibilities, like different bikes and outfits to choose from. Wind direction and strength, sunshine, clouds, rain and fog all influence the experience.

Fortius also features multiplayer racing over LAN or internet, which is very popular with cyclist from all over the world.

The brake

The revolutionary and very porwerful braking system of Fortius simulates climbs and descents. The friction created by the motorbrake is an exact representation of everything you experience in the virtual world.

Video Cycling DVDs

AIM also did the authoring of the Tacx Cycling DVDs. These are movie DVDs in which you can follow a course on your DVD player and TV set, and ride it on your trainer at the same time. Clever usage of the subtitles shows on screen to which gears you need to switch for the most realistic ride.

TacxVR site

The new TacxVR interactive site was fully developed by AIM. It is a meeting point for all cyclists using Tacx software. User profiles can be synchronised with the TTS software, rides can be downloaded, races and challenges organised, and lots more...

AIM Productions develops the RxMobile software, which allows controlling the GNSS receiver, monitor the navigation solution and access its functions in the field. The RxMobile software is sold on either an HP iPAQ platform or a rugged waterproof Recon platform.
